These terms are complete in structure and wording but require your own details and commercial decisions before they go live. Every field to complete is marked in the page source with the comment LEGAL-PLACEHOLDER. They are written to reflect UK consumer law but they are not legal advice, and you should have them reviewed against how your business actually operates.

These terms apply to the Teeth Whitening services described on this website and to the use of the website itself. By booking an appointment you accept them.
The Service Provided
The service is a cosmetic Teeth Whitening session intended to lighten the colour of natural tooth enamel. It is provided by appointment and includes a pre-treatment assessment, recording of your starting shade, protection of the gums and soft tissue, the whitening session itself, a closing shade comparison and aftercare guidance.
What the service is not
- It is not dental treatment and does not replace regular dental care
- It does not diagnose or treat decay, gum disease, erosion or any other dental condition
- It does not alter the shape, size, position, alignment or spacing of teeth
- It has no effect on crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures, bonding or tooth-coloured fillings, which retain their existing colour
- It is not a medical treatment and no medical claims are made for it
Information on this website is provided for general guidance and does not constitute dental or medical advice. Where you have concerns about your oral health, consult a dentist.
Suitability and Your Responsibilities
Treatment is offered only where a pre-treatment assessment indicates it is appropriate. You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your dental and general health when asked.
You must tell us about
- Any current or recent dental treatment, and anything outstanding that your dentist has identified
- Existing tooth sensitivity, gum problems or recent oral surgery
- All crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures and visible fillings
- Previous whitening treatments and any adverse reaction to them
- Known allergies
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Any relevant medical condition or medication
Where treatment will not proceed
Treatment will be declined or postponed where the assessment identifies untreated decay, active gum disease, significant enamel erosion or root exposure, a damaged or loose restoration in the treatment area, an unhealed extraction or surgical site, or any other condition that makes whitening inappropriate. Treatment is not provided to anyone under eighteen, or to anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Complete this — state what happens to any deposit if treatment is declined at the assessment stage, and whether a rebooking fee applies once the underlying issue has been resolved.
Where information relevant to suitability is not disclosed and treatment proceeds on that basis, no responsibility can be accepted for consequences that would have been avoided had the information been given.
Results
The extent of shade change achievable varies between individuals and depends on enamel thickness, the natural colour of the dentine, the type, depth and age of the discolouration, and other factors that cannot be determined precisely before treatment.
- No specific finishing shade, and no specific number of shades of change, is promised or guaranteed
- Results are not permanent and will fade over time
- How long results last depends substantially on aftercare, diet, tobacco use and oral hygiene, which are within your control and not within ours
- Some types of discolouration, particularly intrinsic staining, respond poorly or not at all, and this will be explained before treatment where it applies
- Restorations do not change colour and any resulting difference in appearance is not a defect in the service
What is committed to is the process: a proper assessment, a recorded starting shade, protection of the gums, a full session with monitoring throughout, an honest comparison at the end and complete aftercare guidance.
Aftercare
Aftercare guidance is provided verbally and in writing at the end of every appointment. Following it, particularly the dietary guidance covering the first forty-eight hours, has a significant effect on how long results last.
Where aftercare guidance is not followed, the longevity of the result may be substantially reduced. This is a consequence of how enamel behaves after treatment rather than a fault in the service, and no responsibility can be accepted for it.
Temporary sensitivity affects some people and usually settles within a few days. Guidance on managing it is provided. Sensitivity that is severe, or that persists beyond a few days, should be discussed with a dentist.
Booking, Payment and Cancellation
Deposit. State whether one is required, the amount, whether it is deducted from the final price, and whether it is refundable and on what notice.
Payment. State when payment is due and which methods are accepted.
Cancellation by you. State the notice period required to cancel or rearrange without charge, and the consequence of shorter notice or non-attendance.
Cancellation by us. State what happens if an appointment has to be cancelled or rearranged, including any refund of deposit.
Travel. State the area covered and any charge that applies beyond it.
Prices. State that prices may change and that the price confirmed at booking is the price that applies to that appointment.
Cancellation rights
Where a contract is concluded at a distance or away from business premises, you may have a statutory right to cancel within fourteen days. Where you ask for the service to be performed within that period and it is fully performed, that right may be lost, and you will be asked to acknowledge this before treatment where it applies. Statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in these terms.
Home Appointments
Where treatment is provided at your address, you are responsible for ensuring reasonable access, a safe environment in which to work, a comfortable place to sit for the duration, and access to a power socket and a sink.
Treatment may be declined on arrival where the environment is not suitable or safe. Reasonable care is taken at all times, and any concern about damage should be raised immediately at the time rather than afterwards.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to that, no liability is accepted for the extent of shade change achieved, for the duration of results, for the appearance of restorations that do not change colour, for outcomes affected by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you, or for outcomes affected by aftercare guidance not being followed.
Confirm with your insurer — state your insurance position here, and take advice before including any financial cap on liability, since unfair terms are unenforceable against consumers.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, raise it as soon as possible so that it can be looked at while the circumstances are fresh. Your recorded starting shade means outcomes can be discussed against evidence rather than impression.
